Season’s Greetings from your favourite spot on Negril Beach!
What a ‘year’ these few months have been!!! This has undoubtedly been a very challenging time not just for us, but for the entire world. We are however, very grateful that we have managed to arrive at the end of the year, alive and healthy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been affected by the pandemic and we hope that the New Year will bring you peace and much happiness. We wish to say a very big thank you to those who have decided to visit during the pandemic; those who have emailed us; called to check in on the staff; or those who have called to let us know how they are doing, We love and appreciate you and wish you the very best for the year ahead. |COVID-19 PROTOCOLS – WHAT TO EXPECT ON ARRIVAL CocoLaPalm re-opened July 15th with new and enhanced safety and hygiene protocols and we are looking forward to welcoming you this winter season. We are also pleased to announce that every month we are seeing slight improvements in our guest arrivals. Travelling during a pandemic is not an easy task, however, knowing what to expect will help to allay some of the anxiety. Here are a few tips/suggestions: Visit Visit Jamaica Travel Authorization/ and follow the instructions regarding travel authorization and requirements for travel to Jamaica. We suggest using Club Mobay Lounge which offers VIP arrival and departure lounge access as well as expedited hassle free services through immigration and customs. Visit VIP Attractions to book. We also suggest having the hotel arrange private transfers through our taxi desk for you and your family to and from the hotel. We do not provide a shuttle service so the transfers are only for members of your party. Our drivers are trained and follow very strict Covid-19 safety protcols as outlined by the Ministry of Health and Wellness. Carrying capacity is reduced, busses are sanitized after every trip and passengers are expected to wear a mask. On arrival at the hotel, your temperature will be taken and your luggage sanitized before it is brought to the room. Temperature checks are also done at the Restaurant and Bar. Hand sanitizing stations are provided throughout the property for guests’ use. Guests are required to wear a mask when interacting with the staff or other guests, when visitng the Lobby, Gift-shop, Spa or other common areas. Guests are also required to social distance at the Restaurant, Bar, Beach, Pool etc. Use of the complimentary room service option is strongly recommended as well. Guests leaving the property are encouraged/reminded to take along their mask and hand sanitizers. Guests are also encouraged to visit Visit Jamaica Travel Authorization for a list of approved tours and attractions they wish to visit while on vacation.|
We would like to wish a Happy Anniversary to this wonderful couple, Tashena and Dave Nelson who had their beautiful sunset wedding here in December 2017. Tashena is originally from Westmoreland, Jamaica while Dave is from New York. We wish them endless love, good health and happiness as they celebrate another year of togetherness. ~ firstname.lastname@example.org ~
This month’s recipe is a request from several of our guests that we are happy to repeat here at anytime.
1 Ripe Banana
1 oz. coffee liqueur
2 oz. rum cream
1oz crème de cocoa dark
1 oz. milk
½ cup ice
Simple syrup to taste
Chocolate syrup for garnish
Maraschino cherry for garnish
1. Combine all ingredients except the garnish in a blender and blend
2. Squeeze chocolate syrup around the inside rim of your glass. It will
drizzle down the inside of the glass creating a rich look and adding a
touch of sweet chocolate to the flavours
3. Pour the mixture into a Parfait or Pina Colada style glass
4. Top with the Maraschino cherry Enjoy!
