CocoNotes – Spring 2022

MESSAGE FROM OUR GENERAL MANAGER

Happy Spring!

As we end our winter season we want to thank all our faithful guests for staying with us again this year. Although business was not quite back to pre-pandemic levels you helped us recover significantly. We had several dates over the winter when we were full! THANK YOU!

Despite the pandemic, we have continued to improve every single aspect of the hotel to ensure our guests’ satisfaction. My job is to keep improving our product whether it is the room, food or the overall facilities.

On the Octagon side of the property all the Junior Suites have been furnished with new furniture, bedding and drapes. By June 30, 2022 we will complete all the Deluxe and Superior Rooms as well. with new bedding, drapes and furniture. (See pics below)

On behalf of the entire management team I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to all our employees and customers.

OUR GUESTS EXPERIENCEs   Have you seen the guest’s reviews on TripAdvisor?   New to Coco LaPalm Reviewed by Michael S  Have been to Negril many times and this March decided to stay at Coco LaPalm for this trip. Did an 8 night stay In a standard king room which was perfect as it was used mainly for sleep and showering. Room and the bed were very comfortable. The room was on the second floor with a small table and chairs to enjoy. The Location to the beach is great and the whole the resort was fantastic. Breakfast @ Marleys was a great way to start the day And then off to explore. It was an excellent stay and will definitely spend more with them     Spring of 2022 Reviewed by Mary H Right from getting off the bus at the start of our stay we were impressed. We realized quickly that my husband’s suitcase had been left on the bus and it was gone, CocoLaPalm greeter Dennis helped us quickly figure out to call the bus back and our suitcase was returned. The tropical walk to our room was beautiful. The room was very clean as was the entire property. The food was great and so were the wait staff. We were impressed by their honesty in finding discrepancies in charges and correcting them always. The location of the resort was great for walking the seven-mile beach as it is pretty much in the middle. Will definitely go back!     “Can understand why so many repeat visitors! Reviewed by Chirp172 We chose this resort based on so many good reviews and advice from people on the Trip Advisor forum. We had originally booked at the Azul and are so glad we switched to Coco. As a matter of fact we probably spent more money than at an AI but had so much fun being in the middle of 7 mile and experiencing different restaurants and bars, meeting locals and other guests. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a junior suite on the 2nd floor with 2 queen size beds, a huge bathroom, fridge with bar sink and counter top, a massive balcony and a lovely Jamaican feel with a wooden vaulted ceiling. The resort is small and so close to the beach which we loved. The grounds are lovely and very well maintained. The majority of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We ate at the restaurant a few times and the food and service were excellent. We enjoyed the happy hour from 5 to 7 every day. There was lots of shade on the beach and plenty of sunloungers. Coco is on a great section of the beach and we enjoyed walking both ways on the beach every day. We met people who were staying at Charela Inn and Sandy Haven that typically stay at Coco but couldn’t because it was full. However they continued to eat there. Great to know that tourism is finally picking up for Jamaica! Would highly recommend Coco la Palm and would go back for sure! If on a budget you could definitely reduce expenses by eating the Continental breakfast included, drinking your own alcohol, having a patty for lunch and eating at Best of the West for dinner. We did all those things and so much more!
